Dr. Seyed Mohammad Marandi, a professor at the University of Tehran, warned that Iran is capable of "destroying all U.S. military assets in the Gulf and the Caucasus" in the event of further escalation by the United States.
In an interview with Sputnik news agency, the Iranian expert stated that Tehran has "clearly defeated" the Israeli-American enemy alliance, forcing the Israeli enemy to accept a ceasefire on Iran's terms—a point recently confirmed by Steve Bannon, former advisor to Trump.
Responding to U.S. President Donald Trump's threat yesterday to once again target Iranian nuclear sites "if necessary," Marandi emphasized that Iran is prepared for any future scenario.
The geopolitical expert explained that Iran would be in a stronger position in any future escalation for several reasons, including having "learned much" about the enemies' most advanced weapons and further expanding its missile deterrent capabilities.
Marandi concluded by stating that in any future military confrontation with Iran, the Israeli enemy and the United States would no longer possess the element of a sudden "blitzkrieg," having already revealed their strategies and capabilities during the 12-day war.
