Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Ukrainian authorities of continuing to "incite provocations and terrorist acts" against civilian targets inside Russia, stressing that these actions "do not stop" and that his country "will respond decisively."
In remarks reported by Russian media on Tuesday, Lavrov stated that Moscow "will achieve all the objectives that the Kyiv regime, backed by the European Union, seeks to obstruct," referring to the ongoing Russian military operations in Ukraine.
The Russian minister also criticized European policies, asserting that EU countries "have lost their balance." He said, "Europe has gone mad—I can’t find another word. They have become part of the international insolence toward Russia, inciting their populations by all means, spreading propaganda that portrays Russia as an eternal enemy and an existential threat."
Lavrov likened Western media rhetoric to "Goebbels' propaganda," referencing Nazi Germany’s propaganda minister, and accused the West of seeking to mislead public opinion and divert attention from its internal crises.
These statements come amid escalating tensions between Russia and the West over the war in Ukraine , the increasing military and financial support European countries are providing to Kyiv.
