Brussels – Saba:
European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas said on Tuesday that the "Israeli" army must stop killing civilians at aid distribution points in the Gaza Strip.
Kallas added in a post on X platform that "killing civilians seeking aid in Gaza is unjustifiable."
She continued: "I spoke again with the Israeli Foreign Minister to reaffirm our understandings regarding the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and I made clear that the Israeli army must stop killing people at aid distribution points."
The European official emphasized that "all options remain on the table if Israel does not fulfill its promises."
The European official's statements come amid increasing reports of the Israeli enemy directly and indirectly targeting Palestinian civilians gathered at food and aid distribution centers, sparking a wave of international condemnation and demands to ensure safe and unhindered access for aid.
Earlier in the Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the total number of people killed in the struggle for a living who arrived at hospitals had risen to 1,026, with more than 6,563 injured since May 27.
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 59,106 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 142,511 others. This is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
