Sana’a – SABA:
Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights released a report today titled “Yemen Between U.S. Attacks and Supporting Innocent Cries,” documenting U.S. aggression against Yemen between March 15 and January 2025.
The report documents over 1,700 airstrikes launched by U.S. forces targeting civilian areas, facilities, and infrastructure using advanced and prohibited weaponry, resulting in over 2,000 civilian casualties, including women and children.
Despite these crimes, the report affirms that the Yemeni people remain steadfast in their religious, humanitarian, and moral commitment to support the Palestinian people, who are enduring genocide and starvation by the Zionist war machine.
The report condemned the silence and complicity of the United Nations and its affiliates, along with several Arab regimes that have normalized ties with the Zionist entity. It categorized the attacks on Palestinians in Gaza and the Yemeni people as flagrant violations of international law and acts of genocide.
It held the Zionist entity and its supporting states legally responsible for the starvation and extermination of civilians in Gaza and deemed silent states complicit, both legally and morally.
The report called for an end to the aggression against Yemen, immediate opening of humanitarian corridors to aid Palestinians in Gaza, and an end to the systematic starvation campaign targeting its population.
It urged international organizations, including the UN and the International Criminal Court, to document U.S., Israeli, and allied war crimes, initiate investigations, prosecute perpetrators, compensate victims, rebuild destroyed infrastructure, and ensure unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.
During the event, Ali Taysir, head of the Human Rights Sector at the Ministry of Justice, praised Entisaf’s efforts in revealing the extent of U.S., British, and Israeli crimes. He reaffirmed that the Yemeni leadership and people will not abandon their moral and religious duty to support Palestine despite the aggression and blockade they themselves face.
Legal adviser Hamid Al-Rafiq addressed the legal dimensions of the U.S. attacks on Yemen since January 2024, calling them fully qualified war crimes and violations of the UN Charter and international treaties such as the Geneva and Hague Conventions.
He also emphasized Yemen’s legal right—under the Genocide Convention—to oppose Israel’s ongoing extermination and forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza.
Entisaf’s head, Somaya Al-Taifi, stated that the report aims to expose the crimes of global arrogance—namely the U.S. and Israel—against Yemeni civilians who have refused to remain silent in the face of genocide in Gaza.
