The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that Russian forces carried out high-precision strikes using Kinzhal missiles, targeting Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities and military airfields.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying: "Last night, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a combined strike using long-range, high-precision air, ground, and sea weapons, including Kinzhal hypersonic air-to-ground missiles, as well as drones, against Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities and military airfield infrastructure."
The statement added that units of the Russian Northern Group improved their tactical positions. They targeted concentrations of manpower and military equipment of several Ukrainian brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Pavlovka, Varachino, Sadky, and Kondratovka in Sumy Oblast.
The statement continued: "Units of the Russian Western Group improved their positions along the front line." Formations of two mechanized assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a territorial defense brigade were targeted in the areas of Torskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic and Kupyansk in the Kharkiv Oblast.
Enemy losses amounted to more than 230 soldiers, 14 vehicles, and one field artillery piece. Four electronic warfare stations and six ammunition depots were also destroyed.
The statement indicated that units of the Russian Southern Group seized more operationally advantageous lines and positions and targeted personnel concentrations and military equipment of two mechanized assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a territorial defense brigade in the areas of Konstantinovka, Ivanopolye, Dronovka, Zakotnoye, and Seversk in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The statement said: "The enemy lost approximately 140 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, five vehicles, and two artillery pieces. An ammunition depot and three material depots were also destroyed."
The statement added that units of the Russian Eastern Group continued their advance deep into the enemy's defenses. They targeted personnel and military equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and two territorial defense brigades in the areas of Iskra and Zelyony-Gai in the Donetsk People's Republic, Novogorzhivka in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and Novoseliivka in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost approximately 215 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, eight vehicles, two field artillery pieces, and two ammunition depots.
The strikes targeted operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile forces, and artillery. The Russian Armed Forces destroyed ammunition depots, a drone assembly workshop, a regional recruitment center for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian, nationalist, and foreign mercenary formations in 142 regions.
Three Patriot anti-aircraft missile launchers and a US-made multi-function radar station were destroyed. Air defense systems shot down US-made HIMARS multiple-launch missiles and 397 drones.
