Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms in parts of several governorates, and sea turbulence due to strong winds over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected over parts of the governorates of Dhale'a, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.
Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely over parts of the governorates of Mahwit, Hajjah, western Sana'a, Amran, Saada, the highlands of Shabwah, Hadhramaut, Jawf, the Tihama Plain.
The center noted strong to very strong winds over the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
The amount of rain that fell over the past 24 hours, as measured at meteorological stations in Ba'dan, reached 1,000. Ibb: 4.4 mm, Bayt Bous. Amanat: 3.1 mm.
Scattered rains fell on parts of the governorates of Lahj, Dhale'a, Taiz, Raymah, but were outside the stations' range.
The center warned citizens of thunderstorms and against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after the rainfall.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, in the Gulf of Aden, and along the eastern and southern coasts.
