UNICEF: Over 5,800 children in Gaza diagnosed with malnutrition in June
[Sun, 13 Jul 2025 18:45:30 +0300]

Gaza – Saba:
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced on Sunday that more than 5,800 children in the Gaza Strip were diagnosed with malnutrition in June alone.

In a press statement, UNICEF reported that over 1,000 of these children are suffering from severe acute malnutrition, marking the fourth consecutive month of increase.

The agency stressed the urgent need for aid to be delivered to Gaza swiftly and on a large scale.

Since March 2, Israeli occupation forces have re-closed Gaza's crossings, blocking the entry of food, relief supplies, medical aid, goods, and fuel, leading to a severe deterioration in humanitarian conditions.
With American and European support, the Israeli military has continued its genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 58,026 Palestinian civilians, most of whom are children and women, and the injury of 138,520 others as of Sunday. These figures remain non-final, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in inaccessible areas, with rescue teams unable to reach them.
