UNRWA Warns of Health Crisis in Gaza Due to Lack of Clean Water

New York - Saba:

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned that the absence of clean water in the Gaza Strip, combined with rising temperatures, could lead to severe health consequences.

In a brief statement posted Saturday on its official page on the X platform, UNRWA said: “The blockade must be lifted, and we must be allowed to resume the delivery of humanitarian aid, including hygiene supplies, to Gaza.”

The agency also noted that 800 starving individuals were killed while trying to obtain small amounts of food, stating that an effective humanitarian system has been replaced with a deadly scheme aimed at forcing displacement and deepening collective punishment against Palestinians in Gaza.
