Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, released footage on Thursday showing its fighters targeting Israeli forces in northern Khan Younis.
According to a statement by the Brigades, the footage documents their fighters striking a newly established Israeli command and control center in northern Khan Younis, as well as attacking a special Israeli unit that had taken shelter inside a house in central Khan Younis. The operations were carried out using locally launched 107mm rockets.
The group stated that these operations are part of the Palestinian resistance’s response to what they describe as an ongoing campaign of genocide perpetrated by Israeli forces against the people of Gaza—acts supported by the United States since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023. This campaign has involved widespread killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, in defiance of international appeals and binding orders from the International Court of Justice.
