Tehran - Saba:
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh stated that the devastating strikes launched by the Iranian armed forces in response to the Zionist entity's aggression led him to request a ceasefire.
Iran's official news agency, IRNA, reported that the Iranian defense minister's statement came during two phone calls with the defense ministers of Venezuela and Armenia.
Nasirzadeh emphasized that the strikes launched by the Iranian armed forces against the Zionist entity's aggression led him to request a ceasefire.
He added: "The Iranian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any potential adventurism and foolishness by the Zionist entity and its Western supporters in a painful and regrettable manner."
He continued: "The Zionist entity's attack and aggression during the period of talks and negotiations with the United States and Europe is further evidence of the unreliability of the United States and the West."
For his part, the Venezuelan Defense Minister, in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, highlighted the resilience of Iran's culture of resistance and steadfastness. He stated that the ancient Iranian civilization, renowned worldwide, will not be affected by the desperate attacks of the fake Zionist regime and its supporters.
He added, "Dear Iran, let us be confident that the free peoples of the world, especially in Latin America, will stand by it in confronting the arrogant powers. Iran today is a symbol of freedom and resistance in the world."
In a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, the Armenian Defense Minister also strongly condemned the actions of the Zionist regime and the killing of innocents and commanders of the armed forces, emphasizing that such actions have no place in today's world. He added, "We are confident that the Islamic Republic of Iran will overcome this phase stronger than before."
