Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms across parts of several governorates, along with strong winds over the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Dhal'a, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Amran, Mahwit, Hajjah, the highlands of Abyan and Lahj.
Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are expected over parts of the governorates of Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Bayda, Sana'a, Saada, and the Tihama Plain.
The center indicated the possibility of strong to very strong winds over the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
The amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Dhamar over the past 24 hours was 45.8 mm, Ibb-As-Saddah: 28.6 mm, Sana'a: 13.9 mm, Sa'dah: 12 mm, and Al Bayda: 11.6 mm.
Scattered rains fell on parts of the mountainous highlands and interior plateaus.
The center warned citizens of thunderstorms and against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall, urging them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned seagoers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
