Iranian Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Ghani Nazari, announced that 68 Iranian athletes were martyred during the 12-day Zionist aggression on Iran.
According to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA), Nazari said that during the 12-day Zionist aggression on Iran, all employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth continued their activities without interruption.
He added, "After the Zionist regime's aggression against our country, national unity and cohesion increased significantly, especially among the generation of the 1980s and 1990s. Our culture and religious values have always taught us not to surrender to injustice."
The Zionist occupation, with US support, launched a large-scale aggression against Iran on June 13, which lasted 12 days, targeting military and nuclear sites, as well as civilian facilities, military leaders, and nuclear scientists.
