Gaza - Saba:
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement condemned the massacre committed by the Zionist enemy army in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City on Wednesday, which resulted in the deaths of more than 80 Palestinians, the majority of them women and children, in a bombing that targeted a residential complex crowded with civilians.
In a press statement, Islamic Jihad described the crime as "a horrific massacre that adds to the Zionist entity's bloody record," considering the enemy's claims of targeting "a leadership group affiliated with the Hamas movement" merely a "weak smokescreen" to justify the targeting of defenseless civilians.
The movement affirmed that "directing a military strike on a residential neighborhood teeming with children and women is a war crime under international law," holding the enemy and its supporting US administration "fully responsible for this massacre."
Islamic Jihad called on the international community, led by the United Nations and the International Criminal Court, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and work to halt what it described as "the ongoing brutality against a defenseless people being slaughtered in full view of the world." The movement considered the enemy's continued massacres of civilians "a declaration of mourning for the human conscience," as it put it.
