Held in Mabyan district, the event, attended by Province Undersecretary Dr. Taha al-Hamzi and Province Mobilization Officer Hamoud al-Maghribi, featured a speech by Security Director Brigadier General Hassan al-Qasimi. He emphasized the importance of learning from Imam Ali's life, emulating his resistance against "tyrants and the forces of disbelief," and embodying his virtues.
Al-Qasimi highlighted Imam Ali's "noble morals, honesty, courage, piety, asceticism, and jihad." He noted that the commemoration coincides with US aggression against Yemen, which he attributed to Yemen's support for Palestine and its actions against "Zionist navigation" in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden.
He stressed the need for increased security preparedness, uncovering "conspiracies" against the Yemeni people, and defending the Islamic nation.
Al-Qasimi called for participation in military courses to acquire "military skills" and "the guidance of Allah and the Holy Quran" in preparation for "holy jihad."
The evening, attended by security officials and district leaders, included religious chants and poetry commemorating the occasion.
