The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Saturday, that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 46 drones over several areas overnight.
The ministry said in a statement: "Last night, the air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones."
In the details: "18 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, 11 over the territory of the Kursk region, seven drones over the territory of the Kaluga region, five over the territory of the Tula region, three drones over the territory of the Belgorod region, and two drones over the territory of the Voronezh region."
On Saturday, the governor of Russia's Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, said in a statement on Telegram: "Last night, air defense forces destroyed seven drones in the Kirovsky district. One of the drones fell on an uninhabited building. Rescue services are working to extinguish the resulting fire."
Shapsha said emergency teams were working at the scene, and there were no casualties as a result of the attack.
The Russian Defense Ministry had previously confirmed that its air defense forces "destroyed 27 Ukrainian drones over Russian territories" and targeted vital facilities in Ukraine.
