The Ministry of Interior announced that the security campaign in the Hanakat Al Masoud area in the Al-Quraishyah District succeeded in clearing the area of ISIS criminal elements gathered there.
The Ministry explained that the security campaign resulted in the arrest of dozens of ISIS criminal members and the death of a number of them, most notably the appointed (Amira) of those groups, Faisal Al-Khabzi, nicknamed “Haizum Al-Khabzi”... Noting that some ISIS criminal members blew themselves up during a raid -their dens.
It confirmed that the security campaign came after the criminal elements refused to surrender themselves to the law and justice after their repeated attacks, and their rejection of any tribal mediation from the authorities area.
The Ministry of Interior indicated that these criminal elements have preceded repeated attacks, including the killing of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al-Rubaa; For his opposition to their takfiri ideas and opposition to them, assaulting the property of some citizens by throwing grenades on their homes and farms, as well as shooting their homes late at night, attacking the health unit of the region, and inciting the security authorities.
The criminal elements also launched attacks on the security men while they were carrying out their duties, starting with the attack on the Central Security patrol at eleven o'clock before Saturday afternoon on 4 Rajab 1446 AH corresponding to January 4, 2025 AD, which led to the wounding of two patrol members and the injury of a citizen who was near it, as well By launching another attack on a security point that led to the death of some individuals, the injury of others and the burning of police crews.
The Ministry of Interior also affirmed that activating these elements at this time comes within the framework of the American-Israeli plan to target the internal front and try to discourage Yemen from its honorable position on the issue of Palestine and the oppression of Gaza. Still, thanks to God Almighty and its care, that plan was thwarted.
The Ministry valued the cooperation, vigilance, and awareness of the people of Hanakat Al Masoud, the sons of Al-Quraishyah district, and all the people of Al Bayda Governorate. It called for more cooperation to thwart all the conspiracy and sabotage plans that try to discourage Yemen from its position and prevent it from supporting the Palestinian issue and the oppression of Gaza.
