The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold to very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that cold to very cold weather is expected during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al Bayda.
It pointed out relatively cold to cold weather in the highlands of Taiz, Raymah, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Al Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Al Dhale'e, Ibb, Marib, Al Jawf and parts of desert areas..
The center reported that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological monitoring stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar: 4.6, Amran: 5.4, Al Bayda: 5.9, Sana'a: 6.3 degrees Celsius.
It warned citizens in the mountainous highlands of cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
The center advised farmers to take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers to protect them from the effects of severe cold.
