Washington - Saba:
US President Joe Biden announced last night that progress had been made on the agreement in Gaza.
Biden said, "I am still optimistic about reaching an agreement and releasing prisoners."

Sources familiar with the ceasefire negotiations in Doha confirmed on Thursday evening that Hamas, during the Doha negotiations, pledged to secure the lives of the remaining "Israeli" detainees.

The sources indicated to "Al-Ghad Channel" that Hamas has agreed to the list of 34 detainees and that the survivors will be determined within days, stressing that Hamas pledged during the Doha negotiations to secure the lives of the remaining detainees and that an agreement is currently being reached on the remaining detainees in stages.

Regarding the return of the displaced, they explained that it was agreed that the residents of the north would return to specific areas, namely Jabalia, Tel al-Sultan, al-Shabura, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun.

It was also agreed during the Doha negotiations to dismantle the Netzarim axis and evacuate it of "Israeli" forces. The sources pointed out that "Netanyahu" demanded buffer zones extending one kilometer north and one kilometer east, stressing that the mediators are working to cancel Netanyahu's new condition today regarding the buffer zone.

They indicated that discussions of the second phase of the agreement will begin two weeks after the implementation of the first phase
