The city of Oued Zem, northern Morocco, witnessed a stand yesterday evening, Sunday, to protest the ongoing Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The stand was organized by the Moroccan Committee for Supporting the Issues of the Nation (non-governmental), during which dozens of participants carried Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against "Israel".

The participants also denounced, in Martyrs' Square in the center of the city, "the continued Western support for Tel Aviv despite the continued targeting of civilians and hospitals".

The protesters chanted slogans calling for the need to pressure the US administration and Western countries to withdraw their support for "Israel".

The vigil included slogans such as: "Gaza is a symbol of pride", "We swear by God Almighty that we will not abandon Palestine", and "We are all ready to sacrifice for steadfast Gaza".

With American support, "Israel" has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 154,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
