Atalanta drew with host Lazio Roma 1-1 in the top match of the 18th round of the Italian Football League on Saturday, to take sole lead in the league.

Fisio Dele Paschero opened the scoring for Lazio in the 26th minute, before Marco Brescianini equalized for Atalanta in the 88th minute when Atalanta beat the offside trap after Ademola Lookman received the ball, and put it in front of substitute Brescianini who scored into the empty net.

With this draw, Atalanta regained the top of the Serie A table with 41 points, one point ahead of Inter Milan, who briefly took the lead after winning earlier on Saturday over Cagliari 3-0.

As for Lazio, it raised its score to 35 points to remain in fourth place in an open race for the Champions League qualifying spots.
