Marwan al-Barghouthi and a number of his mates suffered brutal insult by oppressive units inside Israeli prison early last month, advocate of the Palestinian Prisoner Commission has said after a visit to Mgdo jail.
Member of Fatah Movement's central committee, Barghouthi was imprisoned in 2002, and the lawyer found that the national leader was denied visits throughout the last three months.
On 9 September 2024, Barghouthi was severely beaten by oppressors in solitary confinement, leaving many injuries on his body, bleeding in ear and pains on his back, before he gradually recovered after weeks of the assault.
