Sa'ada - Saba:
The Office of Economy, Industry and Investment in Sa'ada Province destroyed on Wednesday 13 tons of expired foodstuffs .
During the destruction, in the presence of the provincial undersecretary for environment and improvement affairs, Mohammed Al-Baadani, and the deputy prosecutor for violations, Judge Hussein Ghouth, the director of the province's economy office, Khalid Al-Dhiban, explained that the destroyed goods included various food and consumer items.
He pointed out that the total number of violations seized until the end of September 2024 amounted to 591 violations, which were distributed among non-publicity, price hikes, expiration, lack of balance, lack of weight of bread and packages, refusal of inspection, poor storage, commercial fraud, violations of technical and health requirements.
Al-Thiban praised the efforts of the local authority leadership in facilitating the work of the office and accomplishing its tasks in controlling commodities , markets and seizing violations.
