SANA'A - SABA: The National Program to Address the Phenomenon of Begging in Hajjah province on Wednesday successfully completed the first phase of economic empowerment for 95 beneficiaries through various small projects.

This achievement coincides with the celebrations of the Prophet's birthday and the September 21 Revolution.

During the event, province undersecretary Mohammed al-Qadhi emphasized the commitment of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to empower targeted groups under this initiative.

He highlighted that beneficiaries would receive ongoing support and evaluation to help them manage and grow their projects, aiming to provide them with lawful livelihoods and improve their living conditions.

Yasser Sharaf al-Din, the program's executive director, detailed that the initiative provided loans totaling 70 million riyals to 95 beneficiaries across Hajjah and Al-Mahwit.

This effort aligns with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din, and addresses the urgent priorities of the Government of Change and Construction.

The program includes various projects, such as 25 aimed at reverse migration to their home governorates, focusing on livestock development, and 40 projects for marketing agricultural products and snacks in the capital.

Additionally, the initiative seeks to empower 30 women in the labor market, training 25 in sewing and five in photography and education.

Sharaf al-Din noted that the targeted individuals will undergo intensive training before joining the economic empowerment program, enabling them to establish sustainable small projects to support themselves and their families.
