SA'ADA September 08. 2024 (Saba) – A series of significant service and development projects were inaugurated on Sunday in Sa'ada province.
The inauguration was held by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration, Local, and Rural Development Mohammed al-Madani, Minister of Finance Abduljabbar Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim, and Governor of Sa'ada Mohammed Jaber Awad.
The inauguration ceremony marked the launch of eight major projects across various sectors, funded by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance, community initiatives, and the local branch of the Water Resources Authority.
The newly inaugurated projects include:
- The completion of 26 road projects, involving surveying, paving, expanding, and maintenance across several directorates, covering a total length of 70.32 km. These improvements are part of the direct intervention program aimed at enhancing rural road services.
- Twenty-five water projects, which encompass drilling 23 tube wells and one hand well, installation of seven water tanks, and nine pumping stations, along with a pilot solar-powered pumping project. The second phase of the renewable energy project at the Republican Hospital Authority in Sa'ada was also opened.
- Restoration and furnishing of three schools as part of the infrastructure enhancement program for education.
- The establishment of Maran Hospital's "ready units" in Haidan district to boost healthcare infrastructure.
- Restoration of two service facilities and a project to remove rocks at risk of falling in Razih district, aimed at improving emergency infrastructure.
- Development of the Atharb barrier in Haidan district, part of an agricultural initiative to support local farming and land management.
These projects represent a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure and services, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve living conditions and support development in Sa'ada province
