GAZA September 08. 2024 (Saba) - Col. Mohammed Morsi Abu al-Abd, Deputy Director of Civil Defense in northern Gaza, was killed along with his mother and several family members when Israeli airstrikes hit their home early Sunday morning.
Ahmed al-Kahlout, Director of the Civil Defense Authority in northern Gaza, informed the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the attack on the Morsi family residence in al-Alami area was intense, causing severe destruction.
Rescue teams recovered the bodies of Colonel Abu al-Abd and other victims from the rubble.
Al-Kahlout noted that Israeli forces have systematically targeted Civil Defense facilities and personnel, with over 80 casualties reported among their ranks since the conflict began.
