SANA'A September 07. 2024 (Saba)- The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, inaugurated the first internal audit training program at the Yemen Petroleum Investments Company (YPIC) today.
The five-day program, organized by the company in cooperation with the Petroleum and Mineral Training Center, aims to introduce 30 internal audit and human resources managers, technicians and specialists in the oil and minerals field to the function of internal audit, its requirements, legal frameworks and its effectiveness in controlling oil production companies.
At the opening, the Oil and Minerals Minister stressed that the program comes within the framework of the direction of the change and construction government to activate the role of internal audit and raise the efficiency of national cadres in the oil sector to achieve transparency and improve the government control over oil production companies level.
He pointed out the importance of implementing such quality programs to serve the ministry's directions , plans to qualify , train cadres and enhance their role in this sector. He praised the efforts of the Petroleum and Mineral Training Center and the participating parties in organizing such valuable courses.
The program includes practical applications to provide trainees with the skills of auditing and reviewing human resources, planning and scheduling the risks associated with the human resources function and its connection to the company's objectives in strategic planning and achieving success.
