SANA'A August 31. 2024 (Saba) -The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Mohammed Al-Mahdi was briefed on Saturday on the progress of work in the Executive Unit for Projects and Construction.
During the visit, which was attended by Deputy Minister Ali Al-Makni and Undersecretary for Technical Affairs Taha Zubara, ICT Minister Ismail Hamidaddin briefed the Director General of the Executive Unit on the tasks of workshops and laboratories that produce equipment for the telecommunications network and offices.
Eng. Hamidaddin pointed out that the unit works with trained technical cadres in various fields, and harnesses all its capabilities in developing the infrastructure of the telecommunications sector.
He explained that workshops and laboratories work in the fields of networks, maintenance of towers and stations, upholstery, decoration, carpentry and manholes, in addition to specialized technical teams for periodic maintenance in all governorates.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology praised the tasks of the workshops and laboratories in the executive unit, noting the wise management that works to develop performance and train cadres.
He stressed the importance of developing and modernizing the programs of workshops and laboratories, and the continuous training of their cadres, in line with the new developments in the telecommunications sector.
