MOSCOW August 31. 2024 (Saba) - Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Ambassador for Special Missions at the Foreign Ministry, has accused Ukraine of blackmailing employees at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Miroshnik claims that Ukrainian authorities are threatening to kill the relatives of these employees to coerce them into committing terrorist acts or leaking sensitive information.
According to Sputnik Agency, Miroshnik stated that Ukraine is exploiting the ongoing civil conflict to target families, pressuring employees by threatening their loved ones to extract cooperation or provoke actions against Russia.
He assured that Russian agencies are closely monitoring the situation and taking measures to counter these alleged tactics.
Additionally, Miroshnik reported earlier that armed Ukrainian personnel have been involved in looting homes and public property in Kursk Oblast and kidnapping civilians, often resulting in lost contact with the abducted individuals.
