GENEVA August 30. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations on Friday strongly condemned the statements of the Zionist Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, who promised to carry out "temporary evacuations" of Palestinians from the cities of Jenin and Tulkarm in the northern occupied West Bank.
This was stated by the spokeswoman for the United Nations Human Rights Office, Ravina Shamdasani, during a press statement in Geneva.
"These statements only lead to an escalation of the very bad situation," he added, noting that such statements issued by officials can incite human rights violations.
The UN official expressed her deep concern about what is happening in the West Bank, where the occupation launched a large-scale aggression, warning of the risk of aggravating the catastrophic situation.
On Wednesday morning, the Zionist enemy army began a military aggression in the northern West Bank, the most extensive since 2002.
