BAGHDAD August 06. 2024 (Saba) - A number of US soldiers were wounded late on Monday, when a rocket attack targeted a US base in western Iraq.
The Pentagon said a number of US soldiers were wounded in a rocket attack Monday night on a base housing US troops in western Iraq.
US security officials said that two Katyusha rockets were fired at the Ain al-Assad air base in Anbar province, west of Iraq, where US and international forces are present, and that the rockets landed inside the base.
The attack coincides with rising expectations of Iran strikes against the Zionist entity in the coming hours in response to the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh last week in the capital Tehran.
