HEBRON July 20. 2024 (Saba) - A Palestinian young man was martyred late on Friday after sustaining serious injuries at head in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank.
The Palestinian Wafa Agency, citing medical sources at Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, reported that the young man, Ibrahim Hamza Ibrahim Zaqaqiq (20 years old), was killed by live Zionist enemy bullets in the head in Beit Ummar.
"Wafa" quoted the media activist in Beit Ummar town, Muhammad Awad, as saying that confrontations broke out in the town, during which the Zionist enemy forces fired live bullets, stun grenades, and poison gas towards Palestinian citizens, which led to the young man being hit with live bullets in the head, in addition to dozens suffering from suffocation. As a result of inhaling poisonous gas, they were treated in the field.
Awad stated that the confrontations broke out in the center of Beit Ummar, near the old mosque, when the Zionist enemy soldiers stormed the town, where the martyr was fatally shot in the head and was transferred to Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, where doctors announced his martyrdom.
The martyr is a liberated prisoner who was released from the prisons of the Zionist enemy two weeks ago. The martyr was injured two years ago by enemy bullets. He is the only one with male parents, and he has eight sisters.
The national and Islamic forces announced general mourning and a comprehensive strike tomorrow to mourn the soul of the martyr.
