SANA'A July 20. 2024 (Saba) - "Insan" Organization for Rights and Liberties launched on Saturday a qualitative report that documented a number of serious violations against women in areas controlled by mercenaries.
The report highlighted details about the kidnappings and physical and psychological violence to which a number of women were subjected in various areas under the control of mercenary militias supported by the American, Saudi, and Emirati aggression coalition.
During the launch of the report, Human Rights Minister in the caretaker government, Ali Al-Dailami, noted the qualitative information contained in the report regarding the course of human rights work.
While the head of the organization, Dr. Amir al-Din Jahaf, explained that the issuance of the report comes within the framework of the organization’s efforts to shed light on Yemeni women suffering after a number of kidnapping victims broke their silence and documented their testimony to draw society’s attention to the shameful behavior practiced by armed groups affiliated with mercenaries that claim to be legitimate.
He called on the international community to take effective measures to protect them, calling on the relevant authorities and humanitarian organizations to strengthen efforts to combat violations and provide the necessary support to the victims.
During report launching , speeches were presented by a number of male and female human rights activists and representatives of external organizations from Britain, Bahrain and Australia.
In it, they expressed their deep concern about the current situation, calling for the provision of urgent protection and assistance to affected women in the areas suffering under the whips of the coalition.
