BEIJING July 20. 2024 (Saba) - At least 11 people were killed as a result of the collapse of part of a bridge in northern China, while rescue teams were active today, Saturday, searching for about thirty missing people.

China's official Xinhua News Agency reported on Saturday that the highway bridge, which crosses a river, collapsed on Friday at around 20:40 (12:40 GMT) "due to heavy rains and flash floods."

More than thirty people were also lost as a result of the disaster, according to what the official CCTV television reported.
