TUNISIAN July 20. 2024 (Saba) - Tunisian President Kais Saied, who took office in 2019, announced on Friday that he will run for a new term in the presidential elections scheduled to be held on October 6.

Saied said in a video clip broadcast by the Tunisian presidency, "I officially announce my candidacy for the presidential elections on the sixth of next October to continue the struggle in the national liberation battle."
