HODEIDA June 19. 2024 (Saba) - The Tourism Office in Hodeida Province carried out monitoring and inspection campaigns on tourist and hotel establishments.

Deputy Director of the Tourism Office in the province, Walid Al-Sharif, explained that the campaign, which comes within the ministry’s plan, targeted all hotels, tourist sites, parks, public and private gardens in the province center and directorates to ensure the quality of services provided to citizens and visitors.

He pointed out that occupancy rates in hotels in Hodeida city witnessed a significant increase during Eid al-Adha holiday, indicating that all hotels in the province are obligated to display a prominent sign confirming their commitment to applying standards and prices according to their classification by Tourism Ministry .

Al-Sharif stated that during the first four days of the Eid al-Adha holiday, 26 violations of the regulations and laws regulating the operation of hotels and health requirements were detected.

While the President of the Hotel Association, Ahmed Wahan, stressed the association’s keenness to enhance coordination with the concerned authorities to guarantee the rights of committed tourist establishments, and to strive to improve the quality of the tourism product.

He praised the interest of the leadership of the local authority and the tourism office in the tourism sector, working to develop , modernize it, improving the level and quality of services provided to citizens.
