BEIJING April 08. 2024 (Saba) - The Chinese military has announced that it will conduct “joint naval and air combat patrols” in the disputed South China Sea on Sunday.
A statement by the Chinese army said that these drills coincide with joint military exercises conducted by the United States, the Philippines, Japan, and Australia.
The statement stressed that “all military activities that disturb the situation in the South China Sea and create hotspots are under control,” referring to the quadrilateral military exercises taking place in the same waters.
The Philippines, the United States, Japan, and Australia announced on that they will hold joint naval and air exercises Sunday in the disputed South China Sea.
