TEHRAN February 1. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani announced last night that his country is ready to resume discussions with Kuwait regarding the Arash gas field and the demarcation of the common maritime border between the two countries.
Kanaani said in a statement, commenting on the joint Saudi-Kuwaiti statement, after the visit of the Emir of Kuwait, Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to Riyadh: Iran affirms the policy of good neighborliness, and believes that an agreement on this file is “available” in light of an atmosphere of cooperation and constructive dealing.
The Iranian spokesman considered the “raising allegations through statements and the media will not provide the appropriate conditions to move matters forward.”
