DAMASCUS October 19. 2023 (Saba) - Syrian sources reported that "an attack targeted the American Al-Tanf base at the triangle of the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border with three drones."
Al-Mayadeen quoted the sources on Thursday as saying that the planes "were able to fly over the base and target it without information about the extent of the losses."
At the same time, the American Konico base in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor was also targeted by two missiles, without information about the extent of the losses.
The targeting led to a major alert inside the base, with military aircraft and helicopters flying over the area continuously.
Later, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for operations targeting American forces at the Ain al-Asad and Harir bases in Iraqi Kurdistan, threatening the American forces with more operations.
