SANA'A October 17.2023 (Saba)-In the midst of the current events taking place in Yemen on various tracks, in the phase of neither peace nor war, the initiative of His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, came to end the military fronts in Taiz province, in a way that contributes to the stability of the province and spares it conflict scourge .
President Al-Mashat’s initiative, which includes stopping all military fronts from all parties, neutralizing the province, and managing it jointly by all, comes within the framework of previous initiatives presented by Sana’a that were rejected by the tools of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition, the most prominent of which is the initiative to open roads presented by the Supreme Political Council in May 2022 AD.
There is no doubt that the initiative came during the visit of President Al-Mashat, the second to Taiz province in less than a year, will turn the tables and throw the ball in the court of the other party, which did not issue any comment on the initiative, whether accepting or rejecting, but in brief, it is considered a good opportunity. It is valuable for ending the conflict that has been going on in the province for nine years and removing Taiz from the situation it is in to the realm of security, safety and stability.
The continued intransigence of the tools of aggression and their failure to resort to the voice of reason and logic, and their persistence in continuing to implement the agenda and plans drawn up by the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression countries against the Yemeni people, political stupidity and moral failure, confirms the extent of dependency on the dictates of colonial countries that seek in one way or another to undermine Yemen and control Its passages, outlets, ports, and the continued plundering of its goods and wealth, in exchange for crumbs of money for those who accepted for themselves subservience, submission, humiliation.
At the same time, the other party’s failure to deal with the initiative of President Al-Mashat, and take it seriously to end the conflict and spare Taiz province the scourge of war and destruction, constitutes a complication of the current scene in the province and the return of an atmosphere of tension, especially in light of the continued intransigence of the aggression coalition in the path of peace and moving forward in dealing with the humanitarian file as an introduction to strengthening confidence between Sana'a and Riyadh and creating a suitable environment to continue addressing issues related to the comprehensive and complete peace that the Yemeni people aspire to.
In light of the fluctuations in the positions of the Arab and Islamic world towards the Palestinians who are subjected to the most horrific and barbaric Zionist aggression, and with the Yemenis known for their advocacy and support for the Palestinian people throughout history, there is no doubt that their role will be effective and influential if their word is united to end the conflict between them, and as President Al-Mashat said, “The correct assessment the period of nine years is sufficient to reach a result, and there is no solution except with unity of word and position.”
The Yemenis should embrace any initiative that enhances cohesion and alignment to gain the honor of defending Yemen, its sovereignty, independence, and stand in one trench to confront the challenges of aggression, siege, and the international conspiracy targeting Yemen, which has been confirmed since the first day of the aggression, which worked with all its capabilities to tear the Yemenis into conflicting cantons instead of moving towards construction, development and urbanization.
Perhaps President Al-Mashat’s initiative to end the conflict in Taiz province is an advanced step towards unifying efforts within the framework of consolidating the values of national reconciliation, which requires all components, parties, political organizations and civil society organizations to study this initiative from various aspects and come up with unified visions that contribute to restoring national cohesion far away regarding foreign dependency.
