SANA'A, Sep. 28 (Saba) - The annual conference of Yemeni scholars entitled "The Issues of the Islamic Nation... Concerns and Aspirations" was held in Sana'a on Tuesday, organized by the Yemen Scholars Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Umrah Affairs and the Endowments and Zakat Commissions, on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday anniversary.
At the opening of the conference, which was attended by the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Ahmed al-Mutawakel, and Minister of Guidance Najeeb al-Ajji, the Mufti of Yemen - Chairman of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, Shams ak-Din Sharaf al-Din, noted the participation of Yemeni scholars who assumed their responsibilities during the current stage and to discuss the concerns and aspirations of the nation.
It pointed out that the scholars are the light of the nation who serve people’s issues and take their hand, in addition to that they are the heirs of the prophets who had a high degree of compassion, mercy and love for people.
Scholar Sharaf Al-Din emphasized that the world must take a decisive and firm life.
He said, "The call for reconciliation, tolerance, love and compassion does not necessarily mean love for the wicked, the oppressors, the corrupt and the tyrants, but for the Muslims.
He pointed out the importance of embodying the values of love and the call for reconciliation, which is the call of the prophets, peace be upon them, where the scholar should have a stand against the tyrants of the earth and the immoral.
He said: "There are those who see in the face of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression that it is sedition, and this talk has a negative effect on the souls, as it causes sedition. Especially as a test, and the Qur’an is full of verses indicating that.”
The Mufti of Yemen stressed that the aggression against Yemen is American as America is the enemy of Islam and Muslims and its forces are present in some parts of eastern and southern Yemen.
He touched upon the role of scholars in calling for love, reconciliation and tolerance, based on the responsibility placed upon them to clarify the nation, with the dangers being plotted against Yemen.
He said, "Restricting worship to prayer and fasting is useless at a time when wealth and bounties are plundered from the land of the homeland, major sins and taboos are spread, and liquor factories are spread in some Arab countries, while scholars remain silent and do not do anything." About evil, instead of focusing on jurisprudence matters that do not fatten and do not relieve hunger, such as purification, divorce, marriage, and others.
Sharaf al-Din urged the scholars of the nation to review the rulings and fatwas issued by some of them, especially the scholars of the Two Holy Mosques who consider the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday to be heresy, while they celebrate the celebrations of the authority that Allah has sent down.
He stressed the need for the scholar to say the word of truth in the pulpit, lectures and lessons, and nourish the people and saturate them with the morals of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who is an example and role model not only in prayer and fasting, but in all transactions, and jihad in the way of Allah against the enemies of the nation.
He called on scholars to rally around the righteous, the honest and loyal.
Head of the Awqaf Authority - Vice President of the Association of Yemen Scholars, the scholar Abdulmajeed al-Houthi pointed out that God Almighty raised the status of scholars, not just for the knowledge they hold, but if they assumed the responsibility of science and did not fear God for the blame of the blamer..
He said, "The scholar says the word of truth and does not be deceived in Allah and this is how you were, the aggression against our people came and all the organizations that were silent, it claims to represent Islamic scholars, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and we have not heard any condemnation or protest.”
He added, "The scholars said the word of truth, and they were not intimidated by the aggression or the siege and the situation in which the Yemeni people live under harsh conditions. This did not concern you because you are great with the greatness of Islam and your view of the nation is broad and is not a regional, ethnic or sectarian view."
Al-Houthi pointed to the importance of the meeting of Yemeni scholars today to consider the nation's problems and develop solutions for them, in a manner that enhances national cohesion that affirms the wisdom of the Yemeni people.
He emphasized that the free scholars of Yemen maintained their position in rejecting normalization with the Zionist enemy, and they were not with the scholars who deviated from the principles and issues and fell into the arms of the Jews and Christians.
He said, “Yemen scholars have another position that is that al-Quds is the compass and the central and first issue, and with your meeting today you will stand on the most important issues of the nation represented in the unity of the ranks and the gathering of the word, so that you will be a model for the rest of the nation’s peoples that were torn apart by the American Zionist intelligence.”
He urged the necessity for the scholars of Yemen to be an example in their unity and meeting on a common word that does not fear anyone but Allah.
He considered the gathering of scholars from different provinces, sects to obey God Almighty and break with the word of truth, a blessing that is not matched by any blessing.
In turn, Hisb Eminence Muhammad Al-Issawi pointed out the importance of holding the Yemen Scholars Conference in conjunction with the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, which brought people out of darkness into light.
The Secretary-General of the Union of Resistance Scholars in Lebanon, Sheikh Dr. Maher Hammoud, considered the convening of an important occasion in which free Muslim scholars who are subject only to the call of God and the voice of conscience will gather, in memory of the master of the world, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family.
He stressed the need to activate the commitment to the approach of the Noble Prophet and his great message that God entrusted him with and sealed the messages with. He said: "We are in an era in which all the challenges mentioned by the Prophet in his prophetic hadiths, when he said ("Nations are about to collide against you") are evident.
Dr. Maher pointed out that if the nation succumbed to US normalization, domination, it would abandon the purposes and major goals of Islam.
He added, "If we are truly Muslims as a Muslim nation, then we must avoid the tyrant, because the worship of God is followed by confronting the tyrant," pointing out that the nation today is surrendering to the American tyrant, which was destroyed in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen.
The Secretary-General of the Union of Resistance Scholars stressed that the axis of resistance is not changed by circumstances, deviations, economic variances, money, or conspirators' plots, for it is steadfast on the truth that God has revealed.
He pointed out that the people of Yemen set a great example in steadfastness and facing challenges, despite the Saudi-Emirati-Zionist-American crime that besieges everyone, stressing that this group has the right to celebrate the Messenger of God, while others falsify the biography of the Prophet and interpret the Holy Qur'an in a manner that suits their whims in order to justify their deviation and submission to the enemies.
At the conference, speeches were delivered by the spokesman for the Council of Palestinian Scholars, Dr. Muhammad Raad, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon, Dr. Ghazi Hanina, and Sheikh Mahmoud Saeed Mamdouh, one of the Sheikhs of al-Azhar, in which they saluted the people of Yemen for venerating the memory of the Prophet’s birthday.
The Messenger of Humanity Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, out of love for the Messenger of God and launching slogans in support of the Palestinian people and their right to establish their independent state with al-Quds zl-Sharif as its capital.
The speakers pointed out what Palestine witnessed from the displacement of the population and the destruction of homes and the work to Judaize al-Quds by continuing to storm al-Aqsa Mosque and destroy Islamic monuments in Palestine by Zionist extremists with the support of the Zionist enemy forces.
The words praised the positions of the Yemeni people and their support for the Palestinian people, who have been living for 75 years under occupation, during which they offered thousands of martyrs and wounded and are still struggling despite the normalization of traitors from the Arabs who stabbed the Palestinian people, al-Quds and al-Aqsa in their side.
The speakers urged the necessity of consolidating the purified Prophetic biography in the minds of generations, consolidating Islamic unity among Muslims, raising the slogan of liberating Palestine, directing the compass of hostility to the Zionist enemy, and liberating al-Aqsa Mosque, the first of the two Qiblas and the third of the Two Holy Mosques.
The words expressed the hope that the emblem of al-Quds on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday will be with the motto of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, due to the close connection between the two Holy Mosques and al-Aqsa Mosque.
The words warned against paying attention to the steps of the devils that enter from jurisprudential and interpretive issues to ignite sedition among the sons of the nation, and the religious are more hostile among themselves, which requires not to fall into the pitfalls of Satan, who takes the jurisprudential details as a cause for sedition and provocation of problems.
The words also urged staying away from quarrels, conflict and exclusion, embodying the values of fraternity and rapprochement, and that the discussion should be within the limits of difference, not developing into self-killing or exclusion and atonement, emphasizing that the Qur’an and the fragrant Sunnah of the Prophet and the people of the House, peace be upon them, are an umbrella for the nation from falling into strife.
