SANA'A, Dec. 08 (Saba) - More than 500 families have been displaced in the past two weeks due to military confrontations between mercenaries in Abyan province, first undersecretary of Abyan Saleh al-Junaidi said Monday.
The armed confrontations between the mercenaries of the UAE and Saudi Arabia have escalated eastern city of Zenjibar, and forced hundreds of families to flee from their homes in areas of Sheikh Salem, al-Tariya, Wadi Sala, and al-Darajaj.
Thousands of families are still stranded in their houses and could not leave their villages due to the mutual heavy bombing between the mercenaries, al-Junaidi said.
He held the countries of the aggression coalition fully responsible for the disastrous repercussions of the mercenaries' conflict and called on the United Nations and its affiliated organizations to help to evacuate the stranded residents and provide them with food and shelter assistance.
