SANA'A, Nov. 22 (Saba) - Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Ra'i met here on Saturday with Iranian ambassador to Yemen Hassan Irloo.
In the meeting, al-Ra'i indicated to the depth of the historical relationship between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, expressing Yemen's willingness to strengthen the mutual relations in all fields.
The speaker talked about the country's confrontation firmly to the continuing aggression and all-inclusive siege, adding that the world and the international community must reconsider their unjust acts against the Yemeni people.
On his part, the Iranian ambassador reiterated the confirmation of the deep-rooted relations linked the two countries and peoples.
He pointed out to the agricultural, industrial and democratic revival in Iran despite the imposed blockade, saying that Iran today relies on its own capabilities in all areas of life.
"We are confident that Yemen possesses all the elements to rebuild Yemen better than before", he said.
The Iranian ambassador affirmed that the Yemeni-Iranian relations will witness further cooperation in various fields to serve the common interest of the two brotherly peoples.
