SANAA, Sep. 21 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council unveiled on Sunday the curtain of opening 309 development projects in the capital Sanaa.

The President also laid the foundation stone for 164 development projects, with a total amount of Y.R 68 billion and 583 million and 631 thousand on the occasion of six years of steadfastness in the face of aggression.

President al-Mashat along with the Capital Sanaa governor Hammoud Ubbad unveiled the opening of 66 projects in the field of stone paving, rehabilitation of rainwater drainage channels at a cost of Y.R 6 billion, 303 million and 341 thousand, and 10 projects in the field of various interventions in support of the displaced and affected people "cash for work" at a cost of Y.R one billion and 855 million and 526 One thousand, and 14 projects to rehabilitate parks and central gardens at a cost of Y.R one billion and 152 million and 126 thousand.

The projects that were inaugurated included 23 maintenance and rehabilitation projects for the streets and main entrances of the capital Sanaa at a cost of Y.R 10 billion and 267 million and 800 thousand,  the project of lighting the streets in the Capital Sanaa with solar energy at a cost of Y.R one billion and 200 million, and 150 projects of restoration, maintenance and rehabilitation of schools at a cost of Y.R one billion, 77 million and 600 thousand.

The projects that were opened included 18 projects in the field of water, sanitation, and the environment at a cost of Y.R two billion and 796 million and 888 thousand, 22 projects in the field of health at a cost of Y.R three billion and 756 million, as well as the emergency works project during the rainy season at a cost of Y.R 35 million riyals and a self-financing project from the capital Sanaa and its executive offices at a cost of Y.R 121 million, as well as projects to maintain the general plan and remove irregularities at a cost of Y.R 170 million, a project to purchase and supply equipment, garbage barrels, and bicycles at a cost of Y.R one billion and 26 million, and the cleaning project at a cost of Y.R 390 million.

The projects under implementation included Mathbah tunnel project at a cost of Y.R three billion 684 million and 333 thousand, al-Nasr Bridge project at a cost of Y.R four billion 450 million and 438 thousand, in addition to al-Sailah project at a cost of Y.R 17 million and 441 thousand.

The projects for which the foundation stone has been laid also included five rehabilitation projects and implementation of rainwater drainage channels at a cost of Y.R 710 million, four projects of various interventions to support the displaced and affected people, "cash for work" at a cost of Y.R 408 million riyals, and three projects to rehabilitate parks and central and traffic islands at a cost of Y.R one billion and 68 million.

The foundation stone projects included 48 projects of restoration, paving, and maintenance of the main entrances and some streets in the capital Sanaa at a total cost of Y.R five billion, 72 million and 209 thousand, 32 projects of restoration, maintenance, and rehabilitation of health centers at a cost of Y.R  787 million and 18 thousand and 42 projects of restoration, maintenance and rehabilitation of schools at a cost of Y.R 430 million And 400 thousand.

The projects for which the foundation stone has been laid included eight projects in the field of water, sanitation, and the environment at a cost of Y.R 872 million and 641 thousand, five main street construction projects at a cost of Y.R 307 million riyals, six construction and restoration projects for public buildings at a cost of Y.R 131 million and 400 thousand, a project for the restoration, maintenance and implementation of gates at the entrances to the old Sanaa at a cost of Y.R 200 million, and three gates projects for the entrances to the city of Sanaa at a cost of Y.R 246 million.

It also included the project of lighting the streets, parks, schools and dispensaries in the Capital Sanaa with solar energy at a cost of Y.R 337 million and 200 thousand, the early warning project for al-Sailah at a cost of Y.R 510 million, four projects for rainwater harvesting and protection of Sanaa from torrents at a cost of Y.R one billion and 612 million and 600 thousand and a project to supply and install tunnel pumps at a cost Y.R 163 million and 800 thousand.
