TEHRAN, Jan. 8 (Saba) - Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday described the missile attack on U.S. military bases in Iraq as "successful," stressing that "Iran faces a broad front and the victory will be its ally."

 

"Soleimani was brave and intrepid, and he was putting himself in the front row and defying the dangers," Khamenei said, adding that he "managed to thwart all American plots in the Middle East, and defeated America's plans in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran's IRNA news agency.

On Lebanon's Hezbollah, the Iranian leader said, "America is trying to get rid of Hezbollah to help Israel," stressing that the party becomes stronger every day and is Lebanon's hand and eye.
