CAPITALS May 05. 2024 (Saba) - Demonstrations continue in many cities and international capitals denouncing the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 211th day.
Thousands participated in demonstrations organized in the German capital, Berlin, the British capital, London, the Irish capital, Dublin, the French capital, Paris, and the Canadian capital, Ottawa, in support of the Palestinian people, and to demand a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Participants in the demonstrations raised Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
The participants called for an end to double standards and the need to prosecute the occupation for its massacres against the Palestinian people, especially children, and condemned the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
In the United Kingdom, thousands of Britons went out in separate local demonstrations in more than 25 cities and regions in the United Kingdom, in solidarity with Palestine and demanding an end to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, most notably London, the capital, and the cities of Bristol, Coventry, Sheffield, Beauport, Northampton shire, and Milton Keynes, Coventry, Leeds and Person.
The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the Israeli war on Gaza, the killing of Palestinian children, and holding Israel accountable for committing genocide.
They demanded that the British government stop licensing arms exports to Israel, and chanted slogans demanding freedom for Palestine and an end to the Israeli war on Gaza.
In the French capital, Paris, Pantheon Square, or “Cemetery of the Greats,” witnessed a mass gathering of students from various universities, in support of Palestine and in protest against the suppression of voices rejecting the French government’s policy regarding the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
In the capital of Ireland, Dublin, students of Trinity College continued their protests in the camp they set up late yesterday, Friday, in support of the people of the Gaza Strip against the Israeli aggression.
In the German capital, Berlin, students at Humboldt University organized a sit-in on the university campus in support of the Gaza Strip and to demand an immediate ceasefire and to stop sending weapons supplies to Israel.
In Canada, demonstrations in support of the Gaza Strip against the Israeli aggression continue, especially at the University of Toronto.
