OCCUPIED AL-QUDS April 18. 2024 (Saba) - Member of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the movement's acting head in the West Bank Zaher Jabarin has confirmed that the movement has not closed the door to negotiations and is in constant contact with mediators.
Jabareen said in statements to the Arab World News Agency on Wednesday “A prisoner exchange deal can be concluded,” indicating that “the resistance offers reasonable approaches in order to complete the deal.”
He noted that the Hamas "is offering approaches that are compatible with everyone's desire, especially stopping the war, transferring aid, providing relief to our people, breaking the siege, and starting reconstruction, which has become a global and international demand."
Jabareen attributed the lack of progress in the negotiations to "the occupation being drowned in its political crisis and the internal calculations of its government, especially Benjamin Netanyahu."
He added "Even the negotiating delegations come empty-handed or do not have the ability to think logically in accordance with the mediators' proposals to bridge the gap."
He continued saying “Therefore, we will not end the negotiations at the present time, and the door is open to approaches that serve our demands and the demands of the whole world to stop the war and protect and provide relief to our people.”
Jabareen drew attention to the fact that the prisoners of the Zionist enemy and their fate are “stuck in Netanyahu’s internal calculations, and without Netanyahu’s internal calculations being finalized, there will be no prisoner deal.”
In a message to the families of the Zionist prisoners, the Hamas leader continued saying: “We send a final message to the families of the prisoners. Time is running out for the lives of your children and this is not a matter of psychological warfare, the phrase that Netanyahu always uses to deceive you into silence. We have evidence and proof that indicates Netanyahu’s intention of killing your sons, and show our concern for their lives."
