BAYDA April 30. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in Dhi Naam district in Al-Bayda governorate, chaired by Governor Abdullah Idris, discussed today the mechanism for completing the implementation of the drinking water project in the areas of Al-Munqat and Rabat in the district with a value of $ 723,000.
The meeting, which was attended by the Director of the Social Fund for Development, Dhamar Al-Bayda, Dr. Muhammad Al-Dailami, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the District, Al-Khader Al-Mashriqi, and members of the administrative body, reviewed the efforts to complete the project implemented by the Fund, the targeted communities and the role of the local authority and the people in providing community contribution, which includes internal connections and meters to homes.
The project consists of a network of galvanized iron pipes with a length of 49 km with all its accessories, the administration building, a guard room, a pumping room, two concrete tanks with a capacity of 250 and 150 cubic meters and a pumping unit, benefiting 15,833 beneficiaries from the interrupted and the consort of the Rabat Mujir.
During the meeting, Governor Idris pointed to the importance of implementing the project, which will contribute to providing drinking water and meeting the needs of citizens, stressing the need to raise community awareness to conserve water and rationalize use.
He pointed to the developmental and service role of the Social Fund in the implementation of many projects in the governorate's directorates, urging the implementation of the project in accordance with the agreed technical and engineering specifications.
