RAMALLAH April 17. 2024 (Saba) - The National Campaign for the Recovery of the Bodies of Martyrs in Palestine revealed that "the authorities of the Zionist enemy are holding the bodies of 26 martyrs of the prisoner movement, who rose inside the occupation prisons, the last of whom is the martyr Walid Daqqa, who rose after 38 years in captivity."
The campaign explained, in a statement issued today, Wednesday, on the occasion of the Palestinian Prisoners' Day, which falls on the seventeenth of April of each year, that the enemy authorities are holding the bodies of 497 martyrs in the cemeteries of numbers and refrigerators, including 95 martyrs after the seventh of last October, along with 51 children and six martyrs.
It stressed that these figures do not include the martyrs detained in Gaza and its surroundings since the beginning of the war, while the campaign documented the delivery of the bodies of 338 martyrs in several batches.
The martyrs of the prisoner movement whose bodies are being held are:
1- Anis Dawla, whose body has been held since 1980
2- Aziz Owaisat has been detained since 20/5/2018
3- Fares Baroud has been detained since 6/2/2019
4- Nassar Taqatqa has been detained since 16/7/2019
5- Bassam Al-Sayeh has been holding his body since 8/9/2019
6- Saad Al-Gharabali has been detained since 6/7/2020
7- Kamal Abu Waer has been holding his body since 10/11/2020
8- Sami Al-Amour has been holding his body since 18/11/2021
9- Dawood Al-Zubaidi has been holding his body since 15/5/2022
10- Nasser Abu Hamid has been detained since 20/12/2022
11- Khader Adnan has been detained since 2/5/2023
12- Omar Daraghmeh has been detained since 23/10/2023
13- Arafat Hamdan has been holding his body since 24/10/2023
14- Majed Ahmed Zaqoul has been detained since 6/11/2023
15- An unidentified martyr whose body has been detained since 6/11/2023
16- Abdel Rahman Marei has been detained since 13/11/2023
17- Thaer Abu Asab whose body has been detained since 18/11/2023
18- Abdul Rahman Al-Bahsh has been detained since 1/1/2024
19- Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sabbar has been detained since 8/2/2024
20- Mohammed Abu Sneineh has been detained since 12/2/2024
21- Ezzedine Abdel Banna has been detained since 20/2/2024
