GAZA March 28. 2024 (Saba) - Director-General of the Government Information Office in Gaza Ismail al-Thawabta has warned that “the nightmare of famine in the northern Gaza Strip will remain” if aid is not entered in a sustainable manner."
Al-Thawabta said in a statement on Thursday that the sector needs the entry of aid by land, air and sea, adding that what is being brought in does not exceed five percent of the needs.
He expressed the intense pain of martyrs being martyred as a result of the wrong airdrop of aid, calling on the countries of the world to bring it in through sound and correct methods.
Al-Thawabta condemned the crime of closing the land crossings with Gaza, urging that the measures imposed by the enemy be bypassed with the aim of imposing its will on the Rafah crossing.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip “is fighting to strengthen the internal front and is performing its duties in an honorable manner,” despite the ongoing Zionist targeting of police cars, stations, and cadres.
These statements come as the Zionist enemy continues its war on Gaza, for more than 170 days, targeting all necessities of life, and deliberately practicing starvation against the people of the Gaza Strip, amid a stifling siege exacerbated by the closure of land crossings to aid.
