AHWEET, May 1 (Saba) - Governor of Mahweet Faisal Haidar and Director General of the Rural Water Projects Authority Adel Bader inaugurated Wednesday the water project of Naaman Dam in the center of Jabal Al-Mahweet.
The project, which was funded by an association at a cost of US $ 56,000 was supervised by the Rural Water Projects Authority, included rehabilitation within the emergency response program of the Society.
In the opening ceremony, Governor Haidar heard from the director of the Rural Water Projects Authority to an explanation on the efforts that took place in the rehabilitation of the dam, from which benefits more than 5,888 citizens to alleviate the crisis of disruption of water projects due to the challenges imposed by the continued US-saudi coalition aggression and siege.
The governor stressed the importance of supporting water projects, their rehabilitation and re-operation of them to cover the needs of citizens and alleviate the suffering imposed by the continuation of the aggression and siege.
He also praised the Ministry of Water and Environment's initiative, its plan and its active presence in the implementation of a map of water projects despite the difficulties and the current economic repercussions.
